One Kiss Changed Everything
The rain had just started when I found Emma standing alone on the balcony of the old beach house. The waves rolled quietly beneath the dark sky, and the cool breeze played with her hair. She smiled when she noticed me, but neither of us spoke. Sometimes silence says more than words ever can.
We had been friends for years, always hiding feelings behind jokes and late-night conversations. Everyone thought we were just close friends, but deep inside, both of us knew there was something we had never dared to admit.
“I’ve been waiting for this moment,” she whispered.
Before I could ask what she meant, she stepped closer. My heart raced as our eyes met. Then, with a gentle smile, she leaned in and kissed me.

When we finally pulled away, she laughed quietly.
“So… now you know.”
I smiled back. “I think I’ve known for a long time.”
The rain grew heavier, but neither of us cared. We stayed on the balcony, talking about everything we had kept hidden for so many years. We spoke about dreams, future plans, and the possibility of building a life together.
