One Kiss Changed Everything Tonight
She wasn’t supposed to be here.
That’s what she kept telling herself as she stood across the room, pretending not to notice him. But pretending had never worked when it came to him. It never would.
Because the moment their eyes met, everything else faded.
“You came,” he said, appearing beside her like he always did—quiet, certain, impossible to ignore.
“I don’t know why,” she replied, though her voice lacked conviction.
He studied her for a second, then smiled softly. “I think you do.”
Her heart betrayed her, racing faster with every second he stood close. There was something about him—something that pulled her in, no matter how much she resisted.
“This is a bad idea,” she whispered.
“Maybe,” he said, stepping closer. “But it doesn’t feel like one.”
The space between them disappeared, and suddenly, it was hard to think. Hard to breathe. Hard to remember why she had promised herself to stay away.
“Tell me to leave,” he murmured.
She opened her mouth… but no words came out.
Instead, her eyes dropped to his lips.
That was all it took.
He leaned in slowly, giving her time to stop him—but she didn’t. She couldn’t. Not when everything inside her was already choosing him.
Their lips met in a kiss that felt soft at first, like a question waiting for an answer. But the answer came quickly.
The kiss deepened, warmer, stronger, filled with everything they had been holding back. Her fingers curled into his shirt as she pulled him closer, and his hand found her waist, steady and sure.
Time seemed to pause around them.
Because in that single moment, one truth became undeniable—
One kiss hadn’t just changed the night.
It had changed everything between them.
