Just stay… a little longer.”
Her words were soft, almost uncertain—but they held him in place. He had been about to leave, hand already on the door, but now he couldn’t move.
“You know I shouldn’t,” he said, though he turned back to face her.
“I know,” she replied, stepping closer. “But I want you to.”
The silence between them grew heavier, filled with everything they hadn’t said. He watched her carefully, as if trying to decide whether this moment was real—or something they’d both regret.
But when she reached for his hand, all hesitation faded.
Her fingers intertwined with his, warm and steady. He exhaled slowly, his free hand lifting to brush against her cheek. She leaned into it without thinking, her eyes closing for just a second.
“You make this impossible,” he whispered.
“Then don’t make it complicated.”
That was it.
He pulled her closer, and she didn’t resist—not even for a second. Their lips met in a slow, deep kiss, filled with a quiet intensity that spoke louder than words ever could. It wasn’t rushed. It wasn’t careless. It was deliberate… like they both knew this moment mattered.
Her hand slid up to his shoulder, holding onto him as the kiss deepened. The world around them faded, leaving only the warmth, the closeness, the undeniable pull between them.
When they finally parted, just enough to breathe, their faces stayed close.
“You’re still here,” she murmured.
He smiled faintly, his forehead resting against hers. “You asked me to stay.”
Her lips curved softly. “Then don’t leave.”
And this time, he didn’t even think about it.
