She knew he was trouble from the very beginning.
The way he walked into her life—uninvited, unexpected… unforgettable.
“Stay away from me,” she had said once, trying to sound stronger than she felt.
But he had only smiled. “You don’t really mean that.”
And somehow… he was right.
Because every time he came closer, she forgot her own rules.
Tonight was no different.
The city lights flickered in the distance as she stood on the balcony, trying to clear her thoughts. But they were filled with him. Always him.
“You run,” his voice came from behind, calm and confident.
She closed her eyes briefly. “Because you give me a reason to.”
He stepped closer, slow and deliberate. “Or maybe… you just don’t want to get caught.”
Her heart raced as she turned to face him. “Caught in what?”
“In this,” he said softly, his gaze intense. “In us.”
The air between them shifted—thick, electric, impossible to ignore.
“You’re dangerous,” she whispered.
“I know,” he replied. “But you’re still here.”
That was the problem.
She was.
Despite every warning in her mind… despite every reason to walk away… she stayed.
He moved closer, his presence overwhelming in the quiet night. Not forceful, not rushed—just enough to make her feel everything she had been trying to suppress.
“Tell me to leave,” he said quietly.
She looked at him, her defenses breaking one by one.
“I can’t.”
And that was the truth.
Because somewhere between fear and desire… between right and wrong…
She had already fallen.
Not slowly.
Not carefully.
But completely.
Lost in a love she knew could break her…
And still, she didn’t want to be found.
