The nightclub pulsed with flashing lights, loud music, and the kind of energy that made people forget their limits. Jason wasn’t planning to stay long — until he saw Sophia walking through the crowd.
Every conversation around him faded instantly.
Her black dress hugged her perfectly, elegant yet dangerously distracting, while confidence followed her with every step. She noticed him staring and smirked like she already knew the effect she had on him.
“Enjoying the view?” she teased as she reached the bar beside him.
Jason laughed softly. “Trying to survive it.”
Sophia leaned closer, her perfume pulling him into a dangerous daze. “That bad?”
“You have no idea.”
For weeks they had danced around the tension between them. Flirting. Teasing. Pretending neither of them noticed the chemistry burning hotter every time they met. But tonight the air felt different — heavier somehow.
More reckless.
Sophia took a slow sip of her drink while keeping her eyes locked on his. “You’ve been acting nervous around me all night.”
“Maybe you’re the reason.”
Her smile widened.
She stepped closer until he could feel the warmth of her against him. The music thundered around them while people moved wildly across the dance floor, but Jason barely noticed anything except her.
Her dangerous curves destroyed his self control.
Sophia placed a hand lightly against his chest, fingers tracing slowly enough to send his heartbeat racing. “You keep looking at me like that,” she whispered, “and I might start believing you’re obsessed.”
“Too late for that.”
She laughed softly before pulling him toward the dance floor. Bodies moved around them under neon lights while tension built with every second they stayed close. Her hands slid around his neck as they moved together, neither pretending anymore.
Jason leaned near her ear. “You’re impossible to ignore.”
“Good,” she whispered back.
The night blurred into teasing smiles, stolen touches, and dangerous chemistry neither wanted to control anymore. Somewhere between the music and midnight, every rule they once followed disappeared completely.
And judging by the way Sophia kissed him before sunrise, neither of them regretted it at all.
