Lost In You With No Way Out

The room was quiet, but the silence between them felt loud, heavy with everything they hadn’t said. She stood by the window, pretending to watch the night, while he watched her—unable to look away.
“You always do this,” he said softly.
“Do what?” she replied, turning just enough for their eyes to meet.
“Make it impossible to leave.”
Her breath caught. There was something in his voice—something deeper than teasing, something real. She stepped closer, slowly, as if crossing a line she knew she shouldn’t.
“Then why do you keep trying?” she whispered.
He smiled, but it wasn’t careless this time. “Because staying means losing control.”
“And leaving?” she asked.
“Feels worse.”
The distance between them disappeared without either noticing. His hand brushed against hers—light, accidental… but neither pulled away. Instead, her fingers curled slightly, holding onto that moment.
“You’re dangerous,” he murmured.
“And you’re still here,” she replied, her voice softer now.
He moved closer, close enough to feel her breath against his skin. Time slowed, stretched, then faded completely. His hand lifted, gently tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, lingering just a second too long.
Her eyes searched his. “Say something.”
“I don’t think words would help anymore.”
And then, without rushing, without hesitation, he leaned in. The world outside vanished as their lips met—soft at first, then deeper, like something they had been holding back for far too long.
She didn’t stop him. She couldn’t.
Because in that moment, she knew—
She was completely lost in him.
And she didn’t want a way out.
